CAMP Rehoboth Seeks Sundance Hosts and Sponsors
The two-day Labor Day weekend Sundance is one of the largest and most anticipated events held in Rehoboth Beach. Although the end of summer is, thankfully, still two months away, now is the time for supportive individuals, businesses, and organizations to come to the aid of CAMP Rehoboth and become a Sundance host or sponsor. Sponsorship levels start as low as $100 giving individuals an affordable way to show their support (donors at the $100 level receive tickets and merchandise worth nearly the amount of the donation) and there are a variety of options available to businesses and higher-level supporters. Sponsors gain tremendous visibility and recognition for their support. Now in its 28th year, Sundance has raised more than two million dollars for AIDS services and CAMP Rehoboth since 1988—thanks to the generosity of its sponsors, supporters, and hosts.
Sundance 2015: The Super Magic Rainbow Glitter Ball will be held September 5-6 at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center. Sundance attracts nearly 1,000 participants and is heavily promoted during the height of the tourist season. Sponsors’ names appear in this publication Letters from CAMP Rehoboth, and are listed on the CAMP Rehoboth website. Posters listing the names of every sponsor are distributed to stores and businesses and are displayed throughout the area during the busy summer season. Support levels range from $100 to $5,000; each level brings an escalating assortment of benefits.
Sundance raises much-needed funds for CAMP Rehoboth, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. CAMP operates a full-service community center; offers a variety of activities, cultural events, service projects, and educational programs; and advocates for a community of inclusion in Rehoboth Beach. The Sundance event began in 1988, inspired by the need to do something in response to the growing AIDS epidemic and the terrible devastation it was causing. Funds raised by the benefit went toward education and health services in the Rehoboth community.
Sundance 2015 offers individuals, businesses, and organizations the opportunity to show their support for CAMP Rehoboth while gaining substantial visibility among Rehoboth residents and visitors. Sponsors at all levels receive a listing on the invitation poster (more than 3,000 are distributed and it is displayed in more than 100 establishments). At the $100 Host level, additional benefits include one ticket to both nights of the event ($80 value) and a Sundance 2015 T-shirt. At the $500 or more Supporter level, additional benefits include an additional two tickets and T-shirts, listing on the website and on recognition boards at the event, and access to the VIP lounge during the dance. Sponsors donating $1,000 or more receive even greater recognition and visibility.
Sundance 2015 will be held over two nights: Saturday, September 5, 7-10 p.m. is the auction and cocktail buffet, which features an open bar, a lavish hors d’oeuvre spread, and silent and live auctions. The silent auction includes hundreds of items, including vacation packages, dining opportunities, pieces of fine art, gift items, and one-of-a-kind experiences. Sunday, September 6, is the dance party beginning at 8 p.m. with dancing until 2 a.m. Participants can attend either or both nights of the event (tickets are $45 for one night, $80 for both).
All proceeds from the event benefit CAMP Rehoboth (a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation) and support the activities and programs it provides to the Rehoboth community.
